YOU, me, and Jupiter/Uranus in Aries: the wild ride begins! Back to the Future series Part 3

Well, it’s seatbelts buckled and off we go….the individual feedback has already started!

Here are slightly edited extracts from several public commenters on my recent opening article (28.2.10) of a series preparing for the upcoming Jupiter/Uranus conjunctions in Aries and Pisces of 2010/11:

Back to the future! Jupiter meets Uranus meets YOU, from 1997 to 2010/11 ….

– all are volunteers who have kindly offered to keep us posted. I hope to find space to include short quotes from as many public comments as possible as the research year unfolds:

ANTICIPATION:

‘Astrologer Mo’ : 1 March 10 ” ……I am going to be getting a once in a lifetime hit of Uranus/Jupiter to my ninth house 29 degree Pisces Sun. I already feel the energy coming and am starting to implement changes into my life, but my whole chart is going to look like a pin ball machine going from one transit to another for the entire year. I am buckled in and ready for take off……”

( Astrologer Mo and Duse, below, share a 20 March birthday, albeit ten years apart….)

3 + 7 March 10 : ‘Duse’ “……This Jupiter/Uranus conjunction has interested me for several years as I’ll be hit with it in more ways than one.
My Sun and North Node are at 00 Aries, my Chiron is at 2 Aries, and I have a natal Jupiter/Uranus conjunction at 1 and 2 Libra. ……My partner was, basically, offered a job running a Trust Company in Zurich, Switzerland in late-October 09 (the offer being re-iterated in a meeting in late-January 10), but the process — in true Mars Retrograde fashion — of negotiating and finalizing everything is taking f-o-r-e-v-e-r. Nonetheless, I anticipate the move itself happening more toward May/June/July which, of course, would coincide with the Cardinal Energy everyone has been preparing for…….”

3 March 10 : ‘Lauren“……My natal MC is 00 Libra 52 making my natal IC 00 Aries 52 ……and now feel ready, I think, for a radical breaking free of my past and reinventing my career possibilities with the 2010 extravaganza. I am feeling the rumblings already as I pack to return to the US March 21 (2010) after 10 years out of the country……the call of unfinished business…..”

REFLECTION:

THE 14-YEAR JUPITER/URANUS CYCLES: 1955 (Cancer), 1969 (Libra), 1983(Sagittarius), 1997 (Aquarius)

20.4.10: Anne W ……from my own diary, as far back as the last week of September 2009 ( I have the upcoming Jupiter/Uranus conjunction in late Pisces/0 Aries sextiling my MC/NNode, squaring 10th House Mars at 1.5 Cancer ):

“……reflecting on the upcoming Jupiter/Uranus conjunctions of  2010/11 reminds me that each return of this 14-year cycle has brought big life changes of an expansive, ‘breaking new ground’ nature: 1955, my sister’s birth and the end of my 7 year reign as an only (Leo!) child co-inciding with beginning to take school seriously. 1969, my future career in adult education and later social work began – decided on the toss of a coin. 1983 saw the start of my career as an astrologer and astrology teacher.

1997 in Aquarius brought my first office after 12 years’ working from home; beginning my thesis leading to the Diploma in Psychological Astrology; and starting the research for the 1997 Jupiter/Uranus conjunction – which was eventually published in April 09, in the final year of the 1997 cycle.

I need to ‘trust the process’ as the old 14-year cycle concludes, accept this ‘fin-de-siecle’ restlessness and uncertainty……and just wait quietly for the Wheel to turn again……”

The Wheel of Fortune 2010/11
The Wheel of Fortune 2010/11

This series of articles is titled “Back to the Future”. Reflecting on what happened at previous stages of any planetary cycle usually offers illumination re what to expect in broad terms when a new cycle is beginning – in this case, the dynamic and ground-breaking 14 year cycle of Jupiter and Uranus. Here are some more extracts from public commenters who are keeping their own notes to share with us as this research project develops:

1 March 10: ‘Astrologer Mo’ : “….for the record, 1983 started astrology. 1997 started my first astrology website….”

3 March 10 : ‘Wizron“….And how about this for a Uranian reversal. At the end of 1983, I gave up astrology. And at the end of 1996(Ed. just before the new cycle began in Aquarius in February 1997), I began studying it again, more than ever!…”

6 March 10 : ‘Mary“….I read your post and realized that the Aquarian Jupiter/Uranus conjunction triggered my natal Sun/Venus in 97/98! Had a major move at that time (relocated by my job). Also left a relationship, but that happened just before the conjunction….”

24 April 10 : ‘Sherry“….I have natal Jupiter conjunct Uranus and can testify to major life changes at every conjunction since I was born (10/01/1954). At the last Jupiter/Uranus conjunction in Aquarius, I became pregnant and had my youngest child…completely unexpected as I was already a grandmother.

(I was also pregnant at the same time as my oldest two daughters). My life also went upside down at the conjunction in 1983…long story. I am looking forward to the upcoming transit and wondering what surprises are in store for me this year. My daughter (1997) will also have this transit activating her natal conjunction for the first time….”

PREPARATION:

It is important to re-emphasise here what I was careful to point out in the first article of this series:

“…. I can only provide a general picture. Uranus is always left field, and if you posit seventeen possible outcomes from a specific planetary pattern involving this planet, it is the eighteenth which will leap out at you from behind an unnoticed bush.

So  – broad brush strokes work best with Uranus transits, in my view. If you can predict Uranus exactly, it isn’t Uranus!

You can take your individual horoscope along to your trusted local astrologer, and she/he will reflect with you in detail on the particular dynamics of  your chart in relation to the upcoming pattern….”

Having said that, there are certainly some preparatory comments to be made in anticipating what lies ahead especially for those of us ‘plugged in’ from June 8th on, to the first exact Jupiter/Uranus ‘hit’  at 0 degrees Aries.

As can be seen from ‘Sherry’ s post, having a natal Jupiter/Uranus conjunction appears to potentise the impact of subsequent conjunctions (it will be interesting to see what transpires also for our research participant ‘Duse’, born under the Libran conjunction of 1969).

My research with the 17 subjects experiencing the impact of the 1997 conjunction at 5 degrees 55 mins Aquarius, confirmed that the stronger and more prominent the natal Jupiter/Uranus signature, the more life-changing were the effects of the transiting conjunction of 1997 upon their lives.

There was one person in particular in the 1997 research –‘Lucia’ who has a powerful natal Jupiter/Uranus aspect, which was also picked up by the transiting conjunction falling on her fifth house Saturn. She created a life-changing event with a group of  deprived inner-city youngsters in a remote and beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands. To read this fascinating story, showing Lucia as a ‘bridge’ between individual and collective facets of planetary energy, check out

https://jupitermeetsuranus.wordpress.com/2009/08/24/jupiteruranus-meets-the-mutable-babe-from-hell

Astrological knowledge is indeed double-edged: I have discussed this duality in previous articles. As we await the impact of the upcoming energy field I think we could do well to adopt the attitude evinced by ‘Sherry’ to me in her recent comment:

“….I am looking forward to the upcoming transit and wondering what surprises are in store for me this year….. I am hoping for the best but prepared for a bumpy ride….”

I feel it is more helpful than otherwise to have some advance warning of our movement into, and through, a tempestuous energy field which promises disruption collectively and individually – but also open us up to possibilities for growth as yet unknown….we need to be humble in the face of these great forces, recognising that there is only so much we can do to prepare for them.

Uranus moves into Aries on 28th May 2010.The Jupiter/Uranus in Aries ‘touchpaper’ of 8 June 2010 sets off the complex, resistant but explosive firework of  the Jupiter/Saturn/Uranus/Pluto energy field, with peaks in June and July 2010 as the inner planets move through, creating a Grand Cross pattern. The lunar eclipse late in June at 5 degrees Capricorn, and Mars late in July crossing 0 Libra, powerfully trigger off the conjunction point again:

8.6.10 Jupiter/Uranus conjunction - set on Natural Zodiac

8.6.10 Jupiter/Uranus conjunction - set on Natural Zodiac

It is probably a fair assumption to make that inner tensions are going to be high for us researchees, as the demands of the old order versus the new battle it out at an inner level, and at an outer level as far as our life circumstances and relationships with others are concerned. I see the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction as the catalyst in the overall pattern, for breaking down resistance to change and releasing flows of entirely new energy.

It is also vital to remember that we are each tiny sparks in the overall light of our solar system. So  – “as above, so below”. We can learn a great deal about what to expect personally by observing the turbulence of the world around us geographically, politically, socially, spiritually and scientifically, realising that we researchees will be manifesting tiny surges of that same overall energy field.

We can see this already. A small personal example will suffice. Ian and I have Mars at 1.5 Cancer/2.5 Capricorn respectively. When the Icelandic volcano erupted – fire surging through ice! – we were two of the many thousands of air travellers sitting at home gazing mournfully at our luggage instead of flying off on holiday. On 15th April 2010 we were under the impression we were flying to Devon, England, UK. On 17th April 2010, we set out in the opposite direction by car to the island of Iona in the Scottish Hebrides.

This total change of goal was not accomplished without a great deal of disappointment, stress, tension and anger (Aries….). But in the end we let go of all that, and had a really good, refreshing time in a place of great spiritual peace (Pisces….) And drank some very nice wine!

So – watch your anger levels, try not to take it out on those around you ( also my advice to myself!), realise that certain circumstances are going to arise which will be outwith your control. Adapt – fast. Get used to feeling dazed and somewhat shocked. Try to free yourself from bonds you know are destructive – if you don’t, life is liable to provide that impetus from the left field….

OBSERVATIONAL ORBS

For my 1997 research, I set a tight observational orb of 4 -7 degrees  Aquarius (the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction fell at 5 deg 55 mins Aquarius) – only taking on researchees who had relevant planets, Angles or Nodes between 4-7 degrees, and only noting world events during times when Jupiter, Uranus, Mars, Saturn, Pluto – and, between early April 1999 and January 2002, Neptune – moved through that band. (Read all about it in “Jupiter Meets Uranus”!)

However, informal contacts subsequently with people whose relevant planets etc had been anywhere from 0 deg to 10 deg Aquarius, but who had still had a disruptive and changeful year, suggested to me that I should set a wider observational orb for the 2010/11 conjunctions.

I have done this: starting watching closely from the end of March 2010, when Jupiter was applying 10 degrees away from Uranus (17 and 27 Pisces respectively), I will declare the project closed in mid-March 2011, when Jupiter will be separating from Uranus by 10 degrees (11 and 0 degrees Aries respectively). At that point, I will probably have had more than enough of it all – and want to retire from watching Jupiter/Uranus forever!

I am very much aware that the powerfully disruptive Uranus/Pluto square will  only be getting into its stride by then. But there is a specific quality to Jupiter/Uranus times, which I have already defined in  earlier articles on this topic, which makes the year from March 2010-2011 very much worth watching.

Using this wide orbital range, there have been a string of world events already fitting the Jupiter/Uranus template in combination with Saturn and Pluto since the end of March 2010.

WORLD EVENTS TO DATE

To name a few:

the death of 96 members of the Polish ruling class in a plane crash, political upheavals in Burma, Obama’s Health Bill signed into law, nuclear missiles reduction treaty between Russia and USA,

major Chinese earthquake, Icelandic volcano erupted disrupting world flight traffic at a level never known before, huge undersea oil leak after rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico,

large Hadron Collider worked this time!, NASA has unveiled stunning images of our Sun from a new satellite designed to predict disruptive solar storms, on 27 April there was an announcement that the biggest ever telescope was going to be built in the Atacama Desert to enable us to see farther into the cosmos than we have ever seen before. Oh yes, and our greatest living scientist UK’s Stephen Hawking is about to present a TV series advising us on how to go about communicating with aliens….in a word, don’t!…

Going by my and Ian’s recent experiences, all you researchees out there have probably begun to have life disruptions of an unforeseen and novel kind. Keep those seatbelts buckled. The wild ride has just begun!

ps don’t forget to keep taking notes, and report in to Ground Control (ie this site) now and then. Good luck!!

Jupiter meets Uranus meets YOU in 2010/11! (Part 2 of Back to the Future! series)

On February 28 2010, I posted the first of three monthly articles reflecting on the possible impact upon individuals of the June 2010 Jupiter/Uranus conjunction in Aries.

To re-read the first one in the series, click below:

Back to the future! Jupiter meets Uranus meets YOU, from 1997 t0 2010/11…

Jupiter meets Uranus makes lightning!

Jupiter meets Uranus makes lightning!

In considering the possible impact of the upcoming 2010/11 Jupiter Uranus conjunctions in Aries and Pisces, I have already set out some reflections on what the collective impact of the conjunctions might bring, in AFA Interview: Jupiter, Uranus and the Purple People from Planet Zog and the short extract from that interview : upcoming Jupiter-Uranus conjunctions in Pisces and Aries in 2010/11.

Now feels like the time to begin wondering what the upcoming conjunction may mean for individuals.

I thought it might be useful first of all to set a context of  looking back in order to look forward. This set of three articles should help readers gain some perspective on what may lie ahead, first of all by taking advantage of the research I did for the last Jupiter/Uranus event.

Back to the Future! series: Part Two 29.3.10

Caveats re Prediction

It is always important to bring humility to bear in contemplating what the great energy fields of the solar system may have in store for us, as their vast patterns shift and change to the dance of Time, drawing us, tiny individuals, into their swirl. Astrology’s track record on accuracy of prediction both collectively and individually is patchy, to say the least! (For more on this, see Can the future be predicted?)

A further caveat arises in considering any upcoming pattern with Uranus powerfully signified. I have often quoted one of Liz Greene’s wry comments in one of her seminars given at the Centre for Psychological Astrology in London : “If you can predict it, it isn’t Uranus….”

My own long experience as an astrologer, astrology teacher and (with my own and loved ones’ horoscopes) nervously nail-munching outer planet transit and progressions watcher over the last thirty years has indicated the following: you can draw broad brush strokes with a reasonable degree of accuracy when it comes to Uranus: but you can bet your bottom dollar that if you posit seventeen possible outcomes from an upcoming, say, transiting Uranus to natal Venus aspect (this being a favourite for the nail-munching!) none of them will manifest, at least, not in the way you think!

Jupiter Meets Uranus – theoretical core of meaning

This factor was very much in my mind as I sketched out, in Chapter 6 of  Jupiter Meets Uranus (pp 59-83), the broad terms of reference for  what my research subjects’ experiences might be during the period when the 1997-8 conjunction, exact at 6 degrees of Aquarius in February 1997, was in operation. (Seventeen research subjects each had a key planet, Angle or Node  at 4-7 degrees of Aquarius. I logged their data before the conjunction, then sent them three questionnaires during the period of February 1997-January 1998.)

Here I quote from the book, pp 60-61:

Jupiter Meets Uranus

Jupiter Meets Uranus

Objectives and expectations

My objective was to see whether the energies of the complex and contradictory 1997 pattern, with the Aquarian Jupiter-Uranus conjunction as its pivot, could be observed at work in essence in all the participants’ lives. As Alexander Ruperti observes :

“…what the conjunctions actually instigate is a rebellion against one’s own bondage to the values which condition one’s personal behaviour and viewpoint.” 2

I wanted to test out whether this theoretical core was evident in the lives I was setting out to study. For individuals, what I expected overall was a mixed picture in January and February 1997, with thwarting, blocking and difficult circumstances and significant endings on the one hand; but new and unexpected developments woven in, which become clearer as the year went on.

(note: as the 1997 Jupiter-Uranus conjunction built up, the dominant foreground  energies were Mars, Saturn and Pluto, always a testing combination, demanding endurance and persistence, bringing separations and endings of varying kinds. It is interesting to note for the June 2010 conjunction that the Aries backdrop brings in a Mars influence, whilst the Saturn/Pluto square is a dominant part of the overall planetary picture. So the overall June 2010 energy pattern has strong resonances with that of January/February 1997.)

Common to all participants, I thought,  should be a more than averagely changeful year with more than averagely difficult and unpredictable dimensions, whose inner thrust was towards greater expansion and  freedom of operation in those spheres of life connected to the planets being triggered by the conjunction and its attendant pattern.

The above paragraph sums up what individuals, in essence, can expect from any Jupiter/Uranus conjunction strongly triggering – by conjunction, square or opposition – any natal planet, Node or Angle. My 1997 research demonstrated quite clearly in the lives of the individuals concerned, that the more strongly you are ‘plugged in’ to a Jupiter/Uranus conjunction, the more powerful you can
expect its impact to be. This supports what astrology textbooks have long said, and what one can observe in reading horoscopes over a reasonable period of time.

Jupiter meets Uranus - from http://www.cainer.com

Jupiter meets Uranus - from http://www.cainer.com

1997 –  “Lucia” – the ‘mutable babe from hell’

The most stunning and vivid example of this came from “Lucia”– the ‘mutable babe from hell’ as she is fondly called by her friends! – who on the very weekend of the conjunction ie 15-16 February 1997, led a group of deprived inner-city youngsters through a life-changing experience in the remote and beautiful North-West of Scotland.

Her feedback was especially important: as the research subject most powerfully ‘plugged in’ to Jupiter/Uranus energy both natally and by transit, her account provided the bridge in the research between personal and collective experience.

Lucia’s account can be found in pp 80-83 of Jupiter Meets Uranus.

Jupiter combined with Uranus : seeing no limits

It is very important for those of us strongly ‘plugged in’ to the upcoming June 2010 planetary pattern dominated by the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction in Aries, to hold in heart and mind as we go through various anticipatory fantasies (or periods of nervous ‘what-if -ing’, to put it rather less grandly!) the essence of this particular planetary combination, (which I discuss at some length in Chapter One of Jupiter Meets Uranus).

The dynamic fire and air combination of astrological Jupiter combined with Uranus has a particular symbolic function in enabling evolution, which is to see no limits.

This breaking through limits, as a means of enabling growth of a dynamic and unexpected kind, can very much be seen in the impact the conjunction had on the lives of my 17 research subjects in 1997-8.

Jupiter King of the Gods

Jupiter King of the Gods

Jupiter/ Uranus meets Venus

I quoted the case of “Georgia” in the first article, who was one of my Venus people. Jupiter conjunct Uranus fell on her Venus. She acquired a Greek lover ten years younger than herself, had a ‘miracle’ child – having been told previously that gynecological problems would render her unable to have children – and went through many other relationship shocks and disruptions, including the surprise acquisition of step-siblings.

Two other Venus people were part of the first phase of the research from 1997-8: Harriet” and  “Frank”(not their real names). Both of them were unexpectedly swept off their feet by new lovers, relocating to different parts of the UK. In Harriet’s case, she married an Irish farmer and went on to have several children in quick succession. Given her previous urban background and lifestyle, this was totally outwith any life plan she may have had.

Impacts: internal, external, and ‘other’

It is also important to remember in our contemplating of possible manifestations of the upcoming conjunction, that planetary energies have broadly speaking an internal, external, and ‘other’ impact: that is, your inner landscape can be a seething ferment  of  new ideas bubbling up (eg me, as I incubate the beginnings of my third book and contemplate Tenth House Mars about to be squared by Jupiter/Uranus in Aries) whilst the external landscape and relationships with other people seem just as usual. Energies can make their presence felt on any/all three of these levels, as the process of change begins its disruptive impact.

Jupiter/ Uranus meets the Sun

Some of my 1997-8 subjects’ feedback illustrates this well. Claire”, one of my Sun people – transiting Jupiter/Uranus conjunct her Aquarian Sun square Mars in Scorpio –  described herself thus in February 1997: “ My inner life is a rampant beast with all sorts of questions and demands….” She was working in Africa with a major children’s charity, and helped to see into law a major Children’s Statute during the period of the research.

By the end of the research period, (which I extended to December 2001 to study the impact of Neptune on the 4-7 degrees Aquarius band activated by the February 1997 Jupiter/Uranus conjunction) she had been promoted and moved to China, then returned with another promotion back to East Africa!

Jupiter/ Uranus meets the MC/IC

“Nicholas” had the conjunction fall in his 6th House, square the MC/IC axis in Taurus/Scorpio. The research period saw his unexpected early departure from a 30 year career in Scottish Local Government, and the completion of a major house move with his new partner, whose mother’s unexpected death during the research period brought her a substantial legacy.

This latter is a good example of the conjunction impacting via the life of another key person in the subject’s life. The whole period was also characterised by unpredictable disruptions as the major changes unfolded.

Jupiter/ Uranus meets Moon/Saturn

Katya”, with a natal Moon/Saturn conjunction in Aquarius in the 12th House, experienced turmoil with her ex husband, two relationship changes and a divorce, and two family deaths  plus the setting up of her own dental practice by the end of the extended research period. That whole period was also characterised by unpredictable disruptions (and computer problems!) as the major changes unfolded.

Prometheus/Uranus

Prometheus/Uranus

I hope that these few vivid and colourful examples from my 1997 research, and the extracts from my book Jupiter Meets Uranus, will help you to begin to build a perspective within which to contemplate what the upcoming conjunction in June 2010 may bring.

****************

At the end of April 2010, in Back to the Future! series: Part Three,

I will be exploring the Cardinal backdrop to the 2010 0 Aries phase of the conjunction and its complex attendant pattern, again from the point of view of individual lives. I will also spend some time on the 14-year Jupiter/Uranus cycle, exploring its powerful, disruptive impact. The more strongly highlighted Jupiter/Uranus energy is in your horoscope, the more influential this cycle was, is and will be.Where were you in 1997/8? What life changes did you experience? In 1983? In 1968/9? In 1954/5? In 1941? In 1927/8 (the last time the conjunction occurred in Aries)?

Any feedback you Jupiter/Uranus folk out there can give me on the impact of this cycle on your lives, would be really welcome! In my own case, I can certainly say “Yes” to unpredictable new disruptions giving rise to major life changes which broadened my horizons and extended my capacities, on every one of the last four. How about you?

Back to the future! Jupiter meets Uranus meets YOU, from 1997 to 2010/11 ….

In 1996 I became sufficiently obsessed with the upcoming 1997 Jupiter/Uranus conjunction at 6 deg Aquarius to begin collecting research subjects willing to share their life experiences with me, gathering 17 subjects, nine of whom stayed right through to the end of the study. The research period I set was from January 1997 to the end of 2001, in order to  observe the full impact of the whole Jupiter/Uranus period of influence, including the three transits of Neptune across 6 deg Aquarius (where Jupiter and Uranus met in mid-February 1997) from Spring 1999 to Winter 2001. I wanted as part of the study to test out a claim of astrologers that major planetary meetings potentise thereafter the degree/s of the zodiac at which they meet. (According to my research, they do!)

The research became a book, “Jupiter Meets Uranus”, which was published by the American Federation of Astrologers in April 2009.

All of my research subjects reported significant inner and outer life shifts, to a greater or lesser degree. For me, this was one of the big surprises of the research. But we are dealing with Uranus here, amplified by Jupiter. Shock and surprise is the name of this game. To quote one of the participants:

“A phenomenally significant year with most significant relationships sustaining great changes for the better,

but very painful and turbulent times…..”

1997 Jupiter/Uranus conjunction - set on Natural Zodiac

1997 Jupiter/Uranus conjunction - set on Natural Zodiac

This was Georgia, summing up the essence of her life changes in 1997, when the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction of 6 degrees Aquarius zapped her Venus. One of several big relationship surprises was motherhood – she had thought she could never have a child, regarded when he arrived as ‘a medical miracle’.

Those of my readers with any planets, Angles or Nodes linked in with the early degrees of the Cardinal Cross will be wondering more than most (not without a certain amount of nail-biting….!) what shocks and surprises await them, since the first hit of the 2010 Jupiter/Uranus conjunction, on 8 June 2010, falls at 0 deg Aries. I can certainly include myself here in the ranks of the nail-munching wonderers: with a Tenth House Mars at 1.5 Cancer, I shall certainly be zapped by that Jupiter/Uranus lightning bolt myself….

8.6.10 Jupiter/Uranus conjunction - set on Natural Zodiac

8.6.10 Jupiter/Uranus conjunction - set on Natural Zodiac

I should stress at this point that I can only provide a general picture here. Uranus is always left field, and if you posit seventeen possible outcomes from a specific planetary pattern involving this planet, it is the eighteenth which will leap out at you from behind an unnoticed bush.

I should know!

Busily observing my research subjects’ lives, I forgot to notice  that I, too, was plugged into the research with the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction falling on my Sixth House cusp, squaring Second House Chiron at 4.5 deg Scorpio. At the end of 2001 and the research period, I collapsed with severe exhaustion and burnout after a year-long family crisis, and had to give up a successful career. (There were long-term Neptune and Saturn/Pluto transits backing up the Jupiter/Uranus pattern) However, I read stacks of books whilst getting the longest rest of my life (2002-8), wrote two books of my own including the research study published last year, and was able to change the balance of my whole life for the better.

So  – broad brush strokes work best with Uranus transits, in my view. If you can predict Uranus exactly, it isn’t Uranus!

You can take your individual horoscope along to your trusted local astrologer, and she/he will reflect with you in detail on the particular dynamics of  your chart in relation to the upcoming pattern.

The next article will  feature some colourful extracts from the lives of my research subjects. Do you have the Sun, or Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, your Angles or Nodes poised to receive the impact of the 0 deg Aries first hit in June 2010? I had five subjects whose Sun was triggered by Jupiter/Uranus. There were three Venus people, including Georgia, quoted earlier. Four Jupiter Return people, of whom  the two youngest dropped out. Two Saturn people. One Chiron person. One MC/IC person. And three North Node people. Read about the Jupiter/Uranus impact on both their inner and outer lives, and gain some idea of  what, in broad terms, this dynamic set of planets may bring your way.

The third article will explore the Cardinal backdrop to the 2010 0 Aries phase of the conjunction and its complex attendant pattern, again from the point of view of individual lives. It will also spend some time on the 14-year Jupiter/Uranus cycle, exploring its powerful, disruptive impact.

I hope, in subsequent articles over the next couple of years, to present some real life feedback: how did the 2010/11 Jupiter/Uranus conjunction affect YOU? If there is sufficient response I will then publish YOUR stories anonymously on this site – but only with your permission. In this way, we will be contributing through our empirical observations, to the overall body of  astrological knowledge. This process of observation and recording has been going on for at least six millennia….

“Six thousand years ago, when the human mind was still half asleep, Chaldean priests were standing on their watchtowers, scanning the stars.” ( The Sleepwalkers by Arthur Koestler )
