Discovered I had a major health problem – prolapsed pelvis. Decided against surgery for the time being.
May 13, 2010
Someone stole my lawn mower out of my garage overnight. This led to a series of stressful events for the next few weeks while I purchased a new mower, replaced the garage door lock. Couldn’t find anyone to cut my grass in the meantime.
Same day finally picked up (son) Alan’s car after power steering repair. Cost: over $1200.
(I mention money because I live on a very limited income from Social Security and a small pension from my employment with the State of Indiana. Alan works for the State of Indiana and receives a very small salary. The State has frozen salaries for two or three years. Any extraordinary expense becomes very stressful for me.)

I began writing songs out of the blue after the eclipse in January on my ASC. In March, I began
Internet correspondence with a music producer and found out about a music conference in my city in April. I went, having only a few months experience in songwriting. There I ran into a former co-
worker that I hadn’t seen in 10 years who offered to show me music production in exchange for me
writing songs for him. Made two new friends quite serendipitously who are also songwriters.

On March 22nd my husband had Gallbladder Surgery. I think this belongs to the build up period, because it was sudden and we had to cancel our vacation to Disney planned for my birthday on March 20th.
During the build up period, I was in the middle of a job transition. On April 24th my old job as Postmaster’s Secretary had been filled and I started training my replacement. I completely left all aspects of my old job behind.
April 30th and May 1st we went to Disney for the weekend since we had to postpone it from March 20th and had already purchased the tickets.
The last week of May and the first week of June, I was on a two week vacation. (I stayed home to relax and rejuvenate)
May 31st was my wedding anniversary and some friends of ours had a small gathering at their house.

April 9, 2010, I started Septra antibiotic for my Lyme disease and by the third pill I knew it was doing something good for me: that is, making me stronger. However, it made me very tired and not very functional mentally. It removed my capacity for enthusiasm.

This time was characterized by a strong feeling of running out of time and a sense of unease about the future. Perhaps a sense that I had failed in what I set out to do 14 years ago and that the next few years would be critical -professionally, financially and personally. I recall a feeling of slight desperation and a drive to redress the situation although I had no clear idea of what to do.
